In some cases, the flavor of Freeze Dried candy is the same as their original, hydrated versions. Like Freeze Dried Skittles, these taste the same as standard Skittles, but the Freeze Dried version is crispy and has expanded a bit in size. In other cases, the flavor seems to be amplified, like in Jolly Ranchers or Airheads.
The texture is the most noticeable difference between normal, hydrated versions and a Freeze Dried version of candy.
